In Livorno on 2016, under the supervision of Franco Marrucci - coach formed at the Milan FC Academy and human rights activist - was born the African Academy Calcio, a football team composed of immigrants. It promotes and guarantees freedom of access to sport for refugees and asylum seekers, without distinction of sex, origin, religion. The Academy Offers to those fleeing war-torn countries and dramatic humanitarian situations, an opportunity for a reconstruction of relationships trust in eachother; today it has more than 20 members. At its birth it was formed only by Africans, in recent months it began to welcome non-African and local people too.
